THERAPY? Athens Gagarin 10.02.2024

The THERAPY? on Saturday they proved they’re in terrific form, played as loud as they could and fired up a packed Gagarin, spreading excitement and nostalgia to a mostly middle-aged crowd that proved they still have adrenaline in store. With a setlist based on the unrepeatable TROUBLEGUM, which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary, and several tracks from last year’s lp Hard Cold Fire, they proved their strength in the live performances, where it should be noted that they were highly communicative with the audience, who enjoyed every minute of live.
The highlights of the evening were the wishes to drummer Neil Cooper who had his birthday and gave us a satisfying drum solo, also the dedication of Die Laughing to the deceased Shane MacGowan and Sinéad O’Connor, as well as the intros from Iron Man and Breaking the Law before Screamager and Nowhere.
Finally, we should also mention the strong presence of our own Half Gramme of Soma who with their stoner rock set warmed up the audience who seemed to enjoy it.

Οι THERAPY? το Σάββατο απέδειξαν ότι βρίσκονται σε τρομερή φόρμα, έπαιξαν όσο πιο δυνατά μπορούσαν και ξεσήκωσαν ένα κατάμεστο Gagarin, σκορπώντας ενθουσιασμό και νοσταλγία σε ένα ως επί το πλείστο μεσήλικο κοινό που απέδειξε όμως ότι έχει ακόμα αποθέματα αδρεναλίνης. Με ένα setlist βασισμένο στο ανεπανάληπτο TROUBLEGUM, που φέτος γιορτάζει την 30στή επέτειό του και αρκετά κομμάτια από το περσινό τους lp Hard Cold Fire απέδειξαν την δύναμή τους στις live εμφανίσεις, όπου πρέπει να σημειωθεί ότι ήταν άκρως επικοινωνιακοί με το κοινό, το οποίο απόλαυσε κάθε λεπτό του live.
Στα highlights της βραδιάς οι ευχές στον drummer Neil Cooper που είχε τα γενέθλιά του και μας χάρισε ένα χορταστικό drum σόλο, επίσης η αφιέρωση του Die Laughing στους αποβιώσαντες Shane MacGowan και Sinéad O’Connor, καθώς και τα intro από το Iron Man και Breaking the Law πριν από το Screamager και το Nowhere.
Κλείνοντας να αναφέρουμε και την δυνατή παρουσία των δικών μας Half Gramme of Soma που με το stoner rock set τους προθέρμαναν το κοινό που έδειχνε να το απολαμβάνει.
